How to choose the best vintage style dress for the New Year Party

Today, we offer some tips for choosing the perfect vintage style dress for all of your New Year’s Eve parties. Let’s get started! 

Size

Our customers dress for success in all different sizes. We have slim ladies, curvy plus-sized gals and women who fit every standard size in between. We typically recommend Titanic style dresses, especially in rose and gold colors, for the ladies wearing plus sizes (up to 3XL). Art deco and 1920s style dresses are ideal for those who fit size Medium to Extra Large. Airy and frilly gowns are best for our Small and Extra Small sized gals.

Length

Dress length is a great way to cover over any figure flaws. Nataya’s tea length vintage dresses are ideal for plus-sized ladies. Those with larger ankles and wide feet but slender bodies need maxi and full-length dresses. Knee length looks great for the average sized ladies who want to show off their ankles. 

The color

Nataya tends to stick with three to five signature colors: lavender (with mauve as a shade), black (chocolate or dark brown), rose-n-gold, sage and beige.

Black True blondes with deep blue eyes as well as Russian or Platinum blondes will look amazing in black dresses but should avoid chocolate shades. The same thing goes for brunettes with dark blue or black eyes. Red and brown-headed ladies look fantastic in coco and chocolate shades of black.

Lavender Lavender is suitable for just about everyone. Even red heads look great in this color.

Beige The same principle applies to beige. Blondes and brunettes, red heads and ladies with chocolate brown hair look splendid in beige.

Rose-n-gold Rose-n-gold colors are great for the silver haired ladies as well as red heads and Russian blondes.

Sage Sage looks wonderful for brunettes with darker skin tones. It complements black, hazel and green eyes. Sage goes well with red hair as well as dark Russian blonde and brown hair.

 

The trend
